1. Download third-party jabber client, Miranda IM. (www.miranda-im.com/download)

2. During installation, deselect all Miranda IM Protocols except Jabber. This will make it easier to configure.

3. Launch Miranda IM and click on the logo at the top of the window and select Options.

4. Navigate to Network > Jabber.

5. Enter Username (if JID = bob@jabber.deltamind.de, insert bob)

6. Enter Password, Resource is not important.

7. Ensure that Port is 5222, no SSL/TLS

8. Click Apply

9. Click on the lighbulb at the bottom of the contact list and select Online.
